Boarding Requirements

Digital or printed booking itineraries must be exchanged for an official ticket at the port ticket office prior to departure. Passengers must also present a valid photo ID upon check-in.

Refunds

  • Before Departure: Subject to a 20% cancellation surcharge fee based on the fare.
  • After Departure: Subject to a 30% surcharge fee based on the fare.

Rebooking

  • Before Departure: Subject to a 10% rebooking surcharge fee based on the fare.
  • After Departure: Subject to a 30% surcharge fee based on the fare.

Minors and Infants

Passengers below 17 years old are strictly not allowed to travel alone.

Fare structures apply as follows:

  • Infants (11 months and below): Travel free of charge.
  • Toddlers (1 to 3 years old): Free fare; charged for insurance fees only.
  • Minors (4 to 11 years old): Eligible for a 50% discount off the adult fare.

Discounts (Senior Citizens, PWDs & Students)

Discounted fares are available for online booking.

  • Verification: Passengers must present a valid OSCA ID (Senior Citizens), National PWD ID, or Student ID during check-in to validate eligibility.

Health & Medical Guidelines

Sick Passengers

  • Medical Clearance: Must present a Medical Certificate from a physician confirming fitness to travel by sea.
  • Severe Cases: High-risk or non-ambulatory patients must be accompanied by a medical practitioner and sign a company-provided liability waiver.

Pregnant Passengers

  • Up to 6 Months Pregnant: Permitted to travel provided they present a fitness-to-travel certificate from a physician or OB-Gyne and complete a company liability waiver.
  • 7 to 9 Months Pregnant: Strictly not permitted to travel.

Pets & Animals

Pets are permitted onboard under the following conditions:

  • Containment: Pets must be kept in secure travel cages and are restricted to designated vessel pet areas (not allowed inside passenger accommodations).
  • Documentation: Owners must present a valid Quarantine Permit from the Bureau of Quarantine/BAI.
  • Check-In: The Official Receipt for the pet’s transport fee must be presented to Starlite personnel upon boarding.

Plant Shipments

Secure Permit to Travel from Bureau of Quarantine.

Fee: ₱50.00 per plant.

Luggage & Excess Baggage

Each paying passenger is entitled to a free baggage allowance of up to 50 kg.

  • Excess Baggage: Weight exceeding the 50 kg limit will incur a charge of PHP 10.00 per kg.

Transport of Remains (Cadaver)

Transporting human remains requires specific documentation and transport setup:

  • Required Documents: Permit to Travel from the Bureau of Quarantine and an official Death Certificate.
  • Transport Setup: The casket/coffin must be secured inside a vehicle.
  • Fees: PHP 2,600.00 base fee per cadaver (vehicle transport fees are charged separately based on vehicle type and route).
