Rebooking

For ticket modifications, any fare difference between the original and new booking will be collected in addition to the surcharge.

Minors and Infants

Age Classifications & Fare Structure

  • Infants (0 to 2 years old): Free of fare charge (Zero Fare).
  • Children (3 to 12 years old): Eligible for the Child Rate (50% of base fare). Cannot be combined with statutory discounts.
  • Adults / Young Adults (13 years old & above): Charged 100% full adult rate (subject to statutory discounts if applicable and qualified).

Travel Guidelines & Documentation Requirements

  • Accompanied Minors (12 Years Old and Below): Must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age.

  • Traveling with Biological/Adoptive Parent/s: Must present the child’s Live Birth Certificate (PSA) or government ID/Court Order (proving parentage) and the parent’s government-issued ID upon booking and check-in/boarding.

  • Traveling with a Guardian: Must present the child’s Live Birth Certificate (PSA) or government ID, written Parental Consent specifically identifying and authorizing the guardian to accompany the minor, a copy of the parent’s government ID with specimen signature, and the accompanying guardian’s valid government ID (must be at least 18 years old).

  • Unaccompanied Young Adults (13 to 17 Years Old): Permitted to travel alone provided they present the following at booking and check-in/boarding:

  1. Valid Student ID or government-issued ID of the minor.
  2. Signed Parental Consent/Travel Authorization permitting travel with emergency contact numbers.
  3. Photocopy of the parent/guardian’s government-issued ID with specimen signature.

Anti-Trafficking Notice Strict compliance with R.A. 11862 is enforced. Suspicious, incomplete, or altered documentation will result in immediate denial of booking/boarding and referral to authorities (PCG/PNP/DSWD).

Discounts (Senior Citizens, PWDs & Students)

Discounted fares are available for online booking.

  • Verification: Passengers must present an original valid OSCA ID, National PWD ID, or Student ID upon check-in. Failure to present valid proof will result in the forfeiture of the discounted rate.

Health & Medical Guidelines

Sick Passengers

  • Medical Clearance: Must present a Medical Certificate issued within 1 day of departure stating fitness to travel by sea.
  • Special Care: Non-ambulatory passengers or those requiring life support must be accompanied by a licensed medical professional (doctor or nurse) with sufficient medication for the journey.
  • Carrier Rights: The carrier reserves the right to deny boarding to any sick passenger.

Pregnant Passengers

  • 1 to 6 Months (4 to 28 Weeks): Allowed to travel. Must present a Medical Certificate issued 1 day prior to departure certifying they are “FIT TO TRAVEL BY BOAT OR BY SEA” on the voyage date.
  • 7 Months and Beyond (29 Weeks & Up): Strictly not accepted for travel.

Pets & Animals

All pets require a Quarantine Shipping Permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry, obtainable online at nvqsd.bai.gov.ph.

  • With Accompanying Passenger:
  • Fees: Range from PHP 960.00 to PHP 1,550.00 per pet.
  • Containment: Pets must be placed in a hard cage and remain in designated pet areas at all times (strictly prohibited inside enclosed air-conditioned rooms).
  • Without Accompanying Passenger (Cargo):
  • Fees: Range from PHP 960.00 to PHP 1,550.00 depending on the route.
  • Process: Pet must be endorsed as cargo via a waybill secured at a Trans-Asia main office.

Plant Shipments

Requires a certificate or permit from the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI)

Luggage & Excess Baggage

  • 2nd Class & Tourist Accommodation: Passengers may bring up to 2 pieces of baggage (up to 0.05 cbm total volume or 100 kg weight limit).
  • Cabins & Private Rooms: Double quantity allowance (same size limits apply).
  • Child Allowance: Minors are entitled to half the adult size allowance.
  • Excess Baggage: Items exceeding allowance limits will be classified and charged as paid cargo.

Transport of Remains (Cadaver)

Requires prior clearance. A valid Permit to Transport issued by the City Health Office must be presented at cargo check-in.
